BNZ - Post Earthquake Reinstatement

BNZ - Post Earthquake Reinstatement

Client: CentrePort

When a 6.5 magnitude earthquake struck Wellington in July 2013, the BNZ headquarters building suffered interior damage and the bank elected to refurbish the entire six-storey building.

Landlord CentrePort charged Impact with managing the project. That meant finding the best sources of advice on the latest seismic technologies and standards, and ensuring that the ceiling bracing and other alterations delivered the internal works to the highest standards of seismic resilience. The project was completed in just six months, with 90% of the building occupied four months later.
